This “painting” was done during the 2020 Pandemic. With the art studios closed and everyone at home during lockdown it was nearly impossible to paint. As a result I turned to Pen and Ink, which were easier to set up, easy to clean up, and didn’t take as much space. It wasn’t long before drawing took on the qualities of painting. I took elements discovered in my previous sister piece, Velvet, and used them as a basis for a new design. Inspired by Native American art and Nazca desert drawings, the elements began to flow on the page, simulating the movement of wet paint in Pen and Ink.
