This “painting” was done during the Pandemic lockdown in Spring of 2020. With the art studios closed and everyone at home it was nearly impossible to paint. Therefore I did a series of paintings in Pen and Ink, which were easier to set up, easy to clean up, and didn’t take as much space. I took elements discovered in my previous sister piece, Velvet, and used them as a basis for a new design. I started the image with elements inspired by Native American art and Nazca desert designs, but I didn’t want to be a copycat, so those elements began to flow on the page, simulating the flow of wet paint in Pen and Ink.
